Data sources
The birth place lookup uses data from GeoNames, licensed under CC BY 4.0. We use a modified extract: places with more than 5,000 inhabitants worldwide plus all settlements in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, reduced to the fields we need and extended with search forms.
